Utilities are collecting more and more data on their system operations, regulatory compliance, individual asset performance, service delivery, and operations, maintenance, and capital delivery activities. Further, it is typical for agencies to have numerous software systems for tracking and storing information. These include work order management systems, financial and payroll systems, geographic information systems (GIS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and modeling software. In the American Water Works Association's (AWWA) 2018 State of the Industry survey, respondents were asked about 17 different technology applications.~i
