In recent years, training cost of army is increasing, it is necessary to save the training expenditure and improve the quality of training. This paper establishes a simulation training system of self-propelled gun based on virtual reality, distributed simulation and artificial intelligence. It introduces the design of system software. Simulation software of self-propelled gun information terminal consists of driver control panel, fire control panel, turret control panel, servo gun and so on. This paper analyzes the design process of each module and give its realization function in the form of block diagram. After testing, the results show that the system can simulate all kinds of skill operations and tactical drill and it greatly saves the cost of training.
