Malaysia's involvement in space industry is part of broader efforts to attain the Vision 2020 objective of turning Malaysia into a developed country. Malaysia will have the ability to harness the space sector for the economic development and well-being of the people. Satellite development program is actually supporting government initiative in the Economy Transformation Programme (ETP) and the 10th Malaysia Plan structure (10,h MP). In shaping the Malaysian space sector, Space Policy is an important point of reference in carving the niche area in our own way. This become catalyst to the local space industry upstream and downstream sectors. Malaysia is currently engaging the EO Satellite Program as a primary involvement to the space industry. The RazakSAT-2 satellite program is a vital development program by pursuing strategic technology to push forward the national economy growth, human capital and capacity building, strategic acquisitions and the impact on the socio-political as well as security and sovereignty. The program have been scrutinize by having its own improvement set up in order to ensure that all aspects are equally taken care of.
