Harmfulness Evaluation of Uneven Support of the Foundation to Cement Concrete Pavement

The representative model of uneven supporting area of the foundation was determined based on the summaries of the distribution features, geometry features, and mechanical features of uneven supporting areas. Based on the model analysis of the finite element software ABAQUS, the maximum tension stress of the concrete board with the critical load site following concrete board thickness, foundation modulus, and void radius was analyzed. Then the regression formula with multi-parameters was arrived at through regression analysis. Using the aforementioned regression formula and fatigue fracture critical state formula, the formula of the remaining life of the concrete board with uneven supporting of the foundation was deduced, and then the uneven supporting of the foundation was evaluated from the view of life reduction. Finally, the harmfulness evaluation method of uneven supporting of the foundation to cement concrete pavement from the perspective of the life reduction was proposed, and examples are also given to illustrate the method. The research results show that: 1). the uneven supporting of the foundation could be simulated by the conical void element model with the situation of longitudinal edge central section; 2). there was a significant regression relationship among the maximum tension stress of the concrete board, concrete board thickness, foundation modulus, and void radius; and 3). reduction of fatigue life of the cement concrete pavement could be used as evaluation standards of harmfulness of uneven supporting of the foundation.
