Sign 2.0: ICT for Sign Language Users: Information Sharing, Interoperability, User-Centered Design and Collaboration Introduction to the Special Thematic Session

摘要

Deaf people have always been early adopters of everything ICT has to offer. Many barriers however remain, that make it difficult for Deaf sign language users to use their preferred, and for some: only accessible language, when and where they want. In this session, some of the current R&D efforts for sign language users are presented, with the objective to promote information sharing and collaboration, so that recent threats can be dealt with productively and converted into opportunities.
