摘要

Effects of Y2O3 and Nd2O3 additives with varying amounts on microstructure and properties of magnesia-based refractories have been investigated in present work.The results indicated that an appropriate amount of rare earth oxides could effectively promote the sintering and enhance the cold crushing strength,and Nd2O3 entirely while Y2O3 partially reacted with some substances from magnesite fine powder,the transformed rare earth compounds or existing rare earth oxides have penetrated into grain boundaries in varying degrees.
