Life Cycle Assessment of Incineration Treatment Technology on Household Solid Waste in Macau

摘要

With economic development and urbanization process accelerating, the generation of solid waste collected from household is increasing rapidly. Because Macau is a city with small land area and very high population density, the management of household solid waste generated in daily life is essential. LCA, as an important decision-supporting tool, has been widely used in environment planning, but not much on integrated solid waste management. This thesis tries to use the LCA method to analyze the incineration treatment technology on household solid waste in Macau. Result shows that the environmental impact of incineration of textile has the greatest potential impact on the environment which is 0.12. Inorganic pollution in the atmosphere affects the entire chain of relatively large, a direct result of the increasing impact on human health. The result can provide reliable data and technical advice for the environmental authority in Macau.
