Combined with the application of pipe-shed advanced support technique in LIANGTOUWU tunnel access construction under soft surrounding rock, this paper brought forward the specific construction measures of small pipe-shed method and big pipe-shed method applied to complicated soft surrounding rock. In order to avoid interlocking collapse of tunnel caused by additional stress generated from digging action, multiple supporting methods of grouting rock bolt, double-decked steel fabric, steel rib and sprayed concrete are proposed, and relative technical parameters and construction technologies are determined by experiments. The paper identified the importance of continuous monitoring and measurement of deformation, displacement and supporting state. Experience proved that the construction methods using pipe-shed support can restrain deformation of soft surrounding rock, speed up construction schedule, and ensure safety and quality of construction.
