In order to enhance hole/electron separation and charge transfer in photocatalysts, the heterostructured g-C_3N_4/CoAPO-5 hybrid materials were synthesized via a simple grinding method with varying the CoAPO-5 content and were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to measure the physicochemical properties. The optical properties of g-C_3N_4/CoAPO-5 hybrid materials were measured by ultraviolet-visible diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), photoluminescence (PL) spectra and ultraviolet-visible absorption (UV-Vis) spectra. Under visible light, the as-obtained g-C_3N_4/CoAPO-5 hybrid materials were evaluated by the degradation of Rhodamine B solution. Subsequently, this work shows the heterogeneous construction of g-C_3N_4/CoAPO-5 structure hybrids present a superior visible light photocatalytic activity.
