In this work structural features of microemulsionscontaining the pharmaceutical biocompatiblecomponents soya phosphatidylcholine (SPC) andTween(R) 20 (Tw) as surfactant, captex(R) (CP) as oilphase and aqueous buffer were studied.Microemulsions were formulated with and withoutthe drug Amphotericin B (AmB). The variousmicrostructures characterized by polarized lightmicroscopy and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS)well as by their ability to release AmB. Theexperimental results demonstrate a correlationbetween the composition, the structural features anddrug delivery.
