摘要

@@ Introduction Insulin resistance is a key factor in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes. Cross-sectional and retrospective epidemiological studies have provided direct evidence that a lack of physical activity is strongly associated with type 2 diabetes, and physical inactivity is an independent risk factor for insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Moderate-tovigorous leisure-time physical activity protects against the development of type 2 diabetes. PPARy, a nuclear receptor that regulates genes involved in lipid and glucose metabolism, contributes to the onset of diabetes. Recently, it has been reported that PPARy gene polymorphism correlated with the improved insulin resistance after exercise in healthy Japanese men.
