Optimized cooling circuit in mold could hardly be accomplished due to the complexity and the difference of designer's skill. It is desirable to make optimized cooling circuit in the part design stage as a basic design specification of mold. It is difficult for mold designer to always collaborate with part designers. It is desirable to automate cooling circuit without intervention of skilled mold designer. In this study, we developed automated cooling circuit optimizer generating optimized cooling circuit with least intervention of designer. Effect of optimization method on the solution stability was examined, and optimization strategy with constraints in mold making was made.
