The Development and Standardization of Statistical Tolerance

摘要

The developments of the statistical tolerancing technique and its standardization in the world and China have been briefly introduced. Base on the new developments and trance in the academic area of statistical tolerance and quality control, it is pointed that the statistical tolerancing technique must be innovated and improved for facing the requirements of enterprises. Consequently, the statistical tolerancing technique becomes an indispensable standardized interface among design specification, process quality plan and control, and it can really be applied in industrial practice. The main layout of the quality-oriented statistical tolerance and its standardization including the standardization of process quality indices and their value system, the establishment of quality-oriented statistical tolerancing model have been discussed. These planned standards are expected to play important roles for assuring desired process quality with lower manufacturing cost.
