Social risk factors have negative impacts on the implementation of water conservancy projects, and they also affect the stability and security of the regional society. However, how these factors influence each other is lack of study. This paper aims to analyze the inner relationship between the social risk factors of the large-scale water conservancy projects in China. Through a questionnaire survey investigating the cause-effect relationship among 33 social risk factors which are identified from the literature, the data was sought and evaluated. Further, a conducting theoretical model is established. The model shows how risk factors derived from the risk sources of project interior, social individual, and social environment conduct in specific path. The result helps us to understand the conducting path of social risk factors and provides a rational risk conduction model for risk analysis in relevant projects.
