摘要

Present day improvement in instrumentation techniques, especially in sensitivity and the ability to work in the aqueous phase has expanded the number and variety of applications of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance by several orders of magnitude in the ever important field of Free Radical Chemistry. This paper deals with a description of some of these instrumentation improvements as well as a general discussion of the kind of information available from a typical EPR experiment. Illustrations of the application of EPR to chemistry are presented for a variety of different systems.
