HEAVY METAL CONCENTRATION IN CROPS AND SOILS CONTAMINATED BY SMELTING ZINC AND LEAD

The analytical results of heavy metals in contaminated soil and in different crops growing in this soil indicate there is a positive relationship between soil composition and content of heavy metal in crops, though the capability for absorbing metal is different for different crops. Distribution of heavy metals in different tissues of potato is different, leaves + stems> root> tubers.
