Computed radiographic image post-processing for automatic optimal display in picture archiving and communication system

Abstract: This paper presents the key post-processing algorithms and their software implementing for CR image automatic optimal display in picture archiving and communication system, which compliant with DICOM model of the image acquisition and presentation chain. With the distributed implementation from the acquisition to the display, we achieved the effects of better image visual quality, fast image communication and display, as well as data integrity of archived CR images in PACS. !5
