Hybrid image archive system

摘要

Abstract: This paper describes a new approach for archiving and processing cath procedures in a hospital. An analog optical disc is utilized as a real time video storage device. Combined with powerful image capture and processing hardware and software, a real time image archiving and processing system is provided to the cath lab to record and replay cath procedures. It has been proved that the system provides better archive capability than that of cine film, and helps the doctor's diagnosis. The system requires lower level x ray dose. That means the patient and the cath team receive less exposure to x ray. !3
