What Is Expected Through Fem Simulation on Machining Phenomena

摘要

The aim of study on machining phenomena is discussed. The method to estimate chip formation process is proposedrnusing FEM simulation and some difficulties to be cleared are discussed. Some simulation results on chip formation process arernshown. Prediction method of cutting tool wear and tool chipping occurrence, tool life, are then shown. The applications of the resultsrnon prediction of quality of products are also proposed. The future of simulation system is discussed.
