Framework for Regional Water Management Planning

摘要

The introduction of the Water Framework Directive requires all member states to elaborate an integrated river basin management plan. This plan is ecologically driven, economically based and relies on the involvement of stakeholders in various phases of its conception. It also involves a wide range of authorities having direct or indirect roles in water management in the decision — making process. Also new member states and pre - accession countries have the obligation to implement the WFD.
