STATE OF RESEARCH ON DURABILITY RESEARCH OF SELF-COMPACTING CONCRETE

摘要

This paper summaries the current understanding and know-how regarding durability of SCC. An overview of drying shrinkage, water absorption of near surface concrete, carbonation, freeze-thaw resistance etc is provided. The main conclusion of existing knowledge is that SCC typically has the same fire risks as HPC, but in some certain cases more precautions should be taken. As there have been only a couple of studies focused on SCC fire resistance, more research on the topic is needed.
