The variation on sintering-densification mechanism of mullite matrix doped with increasing concentrations of ZrO_2 and CeO_2 obtained by colloidal sol-gel method was studied by Thermomechanical Analysis. The dilatation-retraction behavior for ceramic bodies treated at 1400 deg C for the different doping was determined by the same technique.
