Abstract: Hybrid HgCdTe 256 $MUL 256 infrared focal plane arrays (IRFPA) have been developed to meet the sensitivity, resolution, and field-of-view requirements of high-performance medium wavelength infrared (MWIR) imaging systems. The hybrids offer tv-type resolution with $APEQ 10 mK sensitivity at operating temperatures $LSEQ 130 K and are comprised of photovoltaic HgCdTe detector arrays mated to silicon-based multiplexers. We also report the status of our 640 $MUL 480 hybrid HgCdTe FPA development. NE$Delta@T of 0.015 K has been measured with good pixel connectivity and hybrid reliability. An imaging demonstration is imminent. The sensitivity is nearly an order of magnitude higher than has been typically reported for the currently available PtSi 640 $MUL 480 FPA technology.!
