Applying corrections to the model outputs is essential for any comparison between data and model. For the example given, the rms of the difference between measurements and model decreases but it is not the case for all antennas and for each zone. Large scatters remain which aren't explained by these corrections. Nevertheless, one should notice the large effect induced by a significant pitch angle. In these cases, the measurements are a mixing of horizontal and vertical polarizations so that the interpretation of the differences between measurements and model simulations will not be possible without any assumption on horizontal Tb. With that respect, it appears that measurements taken with small pitch angle will be of much easier interpretation.
