Context Sensitive Segmental Design over the Northeast Cape Fear River in North Carolina

Context sensitive solutions played a prominent role in the successful completion of this award winning project that involved the six-lane bridge on US-17 over the Northeast Cape Fear River, NC. The bridge consists of 1,940 m pre-stressed concrete girder approach spans and a 316 m concrete segmental unit with a 146 m channel span.
