A new universal tool for the placement of microcables in the local and business access network

摘要

Several kinds of F.O. microcables have been or are currently developed for use in the local Access Network or the last mile. For protection purpose, for ease of installation and maintenance, these cables are preferably installed in microducts, over distances varying between a few decameters and 2 km. This paper describes a cable placement tool capable to operate according to the convenient mode dictated by the cable's nature and the installation distance.
