Inevitably, a lot of dredging silt is produced in the process of port construction and waterway dredging projects. Since the traditional process of abandoning and burying causes environmental problems, how to deal with it is a hot issue which draw both domestic and foreign attention. Mix other materials into dredged silt bricks and then test the basic mechanical properties of the silt bricks. Considering different cement content, curing age, and slag addition proportion, the results of the test indicate that there is a linear relationship between the compressive strength and cement content of the bricks, and failure strain gradually decreases with the increasing cement content. By keeping the total amount of cement and slag under certain circumstances, the compressive strength of bricks first increases and then decreases with the increase in the amount of slag, indicating that there is an optimal alternative amount of slag for cement. After dredging silt treatment, the compressive strength of silt bricks can be up to MPa magnitude. These silt bricks can be used as channel slope and parkway, which provides a viable, economical, and beneficial solution for dredged silt treatment.
