摘要

A new algorithm used in the correction of thinned Chinese character stokes has been put forward in this paper. This algorithm is characteristic of making full use of Chinese character structure knowledge. Having taken into account of the thinning processes of the known thinning algorithms, we have also adopted the maximum internal square other than the maximum internal circle in this algorithm. So the lost or deformed characteristics of a thinned Chinese character will be corrected in or after the thinning process by this algorithm. Through plenty of test results of many Chinese characters this algorithm has proved to be much faster and much more efficient than the known algorithms.
