1. FASTEEL is the combination of the FASTMELT technology developed by Kobe Steel Limited and Midrex Technologies Inc and the CONSTEEL technology developed by Techint Technologies Inc. 2. FASTEEL provides several key benefits for new steel installations or converting existing facilities, such as: improved productivity, decreased operating costs, and reduced overall solid and gaseous emissions of the steelmill. 3. The incentive for integrated mills to adopt the FASTEEL Process as a complement to steel production in their shops is greatly enhanced if the shutdown of sinter plants, coke ovens and blast furnaces are considered.
