摘要

We study in this paper the martensitic transformation in shape memory alloys by using a thermodynamic approach. We have obtained analytical expressions for the characteristic temperatures of the phase transition. MOreover, corresponding to two different cases of the coherency energy parameters introduced here, we can obtain two different types of the martensitic transformations, which have been observed in the experiments by measuring the transition temperatures of shape memory alloys. Thus the thermodynamic model presented here provide an explicit link between the macroscopic observed phenomena with the microscopic coherency energy for shape memory alloys.
