Large bone defects often occur after traumata or tumor resections. To create implants which directly fit into such defects, rapid manufacturing methods offer excellent possibilities. They allow the customized fabrication of parts, especially designed for individual cases. However, high temperatures during the generation process disallow the incorporation of Pharmaceuticals directly into the material. Especially for completely bioresorbable implants, drugs and growth factors are an important support for the remodeling process. Therefore, in this study, a biodegradable ceramic paste was developed, which can be processed using 3D-Plotting. To secure sterile handling, disposable machine parts (reservoir, nozzle) were used. The paste hardens after the plotting process in a cement reaction, without any required heat treatments, allowing a direct incorporation of Pharmaceuticals. To verify the biocompatibility generated scaffolds were analyzed by cell culture tests and animal experiments.
