In this paper the physical layer security of an underlay Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) using an amplify and forward (AF) relay is studied in the presence of an Eavesdropper. An energy harvesting (EH) AF relay harvests energy from the RF signal transmitted by a secondary transmitter (SU_Tx). The performance of the secondary network is evaluated in terms of secrecy outage probability (SOP) by considering constraints on the transmit power from the SU_Tx as well as relay as imposed by the maximum interference threshold limit (ITL) at PU receiver (PU_Rx). Numerical results based on simulation following our analytical model show the effects of different system parameters on the secrecy performance of energy harvesting AF relay based CRN.
