A printed circuit board (PCB) is used to mechanically support and electrically connect electronic components using conductive pathways, tracks or signal traces etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate. A new PCB technology, developed by German company — JUMATECH, called WIRELAID brings possible cost reduction and more design space. By attaching discrete copper wires onto copper foils, WIRELAID technology enables PCB to carry much higher currents. As a result, the combination of power and signal circuits on the same layer, as well as three-dimensional applications can be realized without using expensive thick copper technology or connectors. Wires with different specifications can also be chosen to match different circuit requirements.
