A combination of the available stratigraphical,structural and sedimentary information from NE Chinadefined a new tectonic process of NE Asian continental margin evolving from a continental block collision,through its departure to Andean-type subduction during the late Cretaceous.The Cretaceous basins in NEChina can be subdivided into three NEN-trending groups,the eastern,central and western zones respectively.
