Theory Research on Analysis of Taylor Impact Experiment for Material Dynamic Mechanical Properties

摘要

By suitable hypothesization and approximation of the Taylor impact process, the present paper has proposed a method to calculate the dynamic yielding strength of the material by turning to the length of the projectile after impact deformation. In addition, the new method can also be applied to the investigation into the change of the physical properties of the impacting process. The advantage of the method lies in that the difficulties are eliminated for measuring the lengths of and the interface between the part unaffected by the impact and the plastically deformed part of the projectile, which the old method will inevitably encounter. A conclusion is drawn that the deformation law deduced by the present method is compatible with the conclusion witnessed in the references. In addition, in the analysis of the impacting process by means of the ReproducingKernel Particle Method, the mechanic parameters determined by the method presented in the present paper are used as the initial data for value simulation. And the value simulation results are compatible with those of experiments, proving the validity of our method.
