    • 摘要: The paper presents the construction of a steel footbridge in the People’s Park in Lublin.The initiation and development of the architectural design of an interesting and,as it eventually turned out,aesthetically pleasing footbridge is discussed.Two teams of architects and bridge engineers worked in parallel on the design.The design process of the footbridge structure is discussed along with its trial installation and on-site construction.The span of the footbridge is short,but its structure is innovative.For this reason its numerical model was developed used as a basis for an analysis of the dynamic response of the designed structure.The basic element of the acceptance procedure was constituted by a dynamic test load and an analysis of the pedestrian footbridge user comfort.Last but not least,the final section reviews the aesthetic canons of bridges and focuses on the footbridge in question in this context.A statistical measure of the aesthetic impression induced by a visit to the footbridge was applied resulting in a predictable and obvious final aesthetical assessment.

    • 摘要: Background:An extraordinary long-term running performance may benefit from low dynamic loads and a high load-bearing tolerance.An extraordinary runner(age=55 years,height=1.81 m,mass=92 kg) scheduled a marathon a day for 100 consecutive days.His running biomechanics and bone density were investigated to better understand successful long-term running in the master athlete.Methods:Overground running gait analysis and bone densitometry were conducted before the marathon-a-day challenge and near its completion.The case’s running biomechanics were compared pre-challenge to 31 runners who were matched by a similar foot strike pattern.Results:The case’s peak vertical loading rate(Δx=-61.9 body weight(BW)/s or-57%),peak vertical ground reaction force(Δx=-0.38 BW or-15%),and peak braking force(Δx=-0.118 BW or-31%) were remarkably lower(p<0.05) than the control group at~3.3 m/s.The relatively low loading-related magnitudes were attributed to a remarkably high duty factor(0.41) at the evaluated speed.The foot strike angle of the marathoner(29.5°) was greater than that of the control group,affecting the peak vertical loading rate.Muscle powers in the lower extremity were also remarkably low in the case vs.controls:peak power of knee absorption(Δx=-9.16 watt/kg or-48%) and ankle generation(Δx=-3.17 watt/kg or-30%).The bone mineral density increased to 1.245 g/cm;(+2.98%) near completion of the challenge,whereas the force characteristics showed no statistically significant change.Conclusion:The remarkable pattern of the high-mileage runner may be useful in developing or evaluating load-shifting strategies in distance running.

    • 摘要: The influence of the material stress state induced by internal and external forces on the erosion rate of pipelines has rarely been investigated in the literature.In order to fill this gap,using a tensile tester machine,a two–phase gas–solid particles jet erosion test was carried out considering a 316L stainless steel under different tensile stresses and different erosion angles.The results show that:1)In the elastic range,with the increase of stress,the erosion rate manifests a rising trend;2)In the metal plastic range,the increase of stress leads to a decrease of the erosion rate;3)The erosion rate at a small erosion angle is more sensitive to the increment of stress.The present research demonstrates that the combined effect of erosion and material internal stress can contribute to determine the effective resistance of the vulnerable parts of piping systems(such as elbows or similar components).

    • 摘要: [Objectives]To explore the relationship between vegetation index and forest surface fuel load.[Methods]UAV multispectral remote sensing was used to obtain large-scale forest images and obtain structural data of forest surface fuel load.This experimental area was located in Gaoming District,Foshan City,Guangdong Province.The average surface fuel load of the experimental area was as high as 39.33 t/ha,and the forest surface fuel load of Pinus elliottii was the highest.[Results]The normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and enhanced vegetation index(EVI)had a moderately strong correlation with the forest surface fuel load.The regression model of NDVI(X)and forest surface fuel load(Y)was established:Y=-5.9354X+8.4663,and the regression model of EVI(X)and forest surface fuel load(Y)was established:Y=-5.8485X+6.7271.The study also found that the linear relationship between NDVI and surface fuel load was more significant.[Conclusions]Both NDVI and EVI have moderately strong correlations with forest surface fuel load.NDVI is moderately or strongly correlated with the surface fuel load of Pinus massoniana forest,shrub grassland,broad-leaf forest and bamboo forest,while EVI is only strongly correlated with surface fuel load of broad-leaf forest and bamboo forest.It is expected that the relationship between other vegetation indices and forest surface fuel load can be obtained by the method in this study,so as to find a more universal vegetation index for calculating surface fuel load.

    • 摘要: The present study was conducted to evaluate the role of effective microbial supplementation to feed on the load of Salmonella in the mesenteric and sub-iliac lymph nodes of beef cattle. Bulls of Harer cattle breed managed at Chercher Oda-Bultum Farmers Union beef Farm were used as study subject. A total of 130 bulls were used using double blinded randomized controlled field trial based on parallel group design from January 2018 to July 2018. The study animals were randomly assigned to the treatment group (n = 100) and control group (n = 30). The feed of treatment group was mixed with EM at dose of 5 × 1010 cfu/day/head and supplemented for 90, 100 and 115 days while that of the control group was mixed with molasses, which acts as placebo. Both the treatment and control were slaughtered and two lymph nodes were collected from each animal under strict sterile condition and processed for the isolation and identification of Salmonella using standard procedure. A significant (p = 0.001) reduction in the load of Salmonella was observed in the lymph node of treatment group as compared to the control group. The load of Salmonella was significantly affected by length of feeding period and age of bulls. This study indicated that effective microbial supplementation to bulls from Harar cattle reduces the load of Salmonella in the lymph node of beef cattle thereby potentially minimizing the economic and public health impacts of Salmonella infection.

    • 摘要: In accordance with the cerium-lanthanum ratio of fluorocerium ores in the mineralogy of the Baiyun Ebo process, the (Ce,La)CO3F grains were synthesised by hydrothermal method using pure material to simulate bastnaesite minerals, and used as NH3-SCR denitrification catalysts. The activity results showed that the synthetic (Ce,La)CO3F was roasted at 500˚C, and the NOx conversion was 27% at 200˚C. The NH3-SCR catalytic activity of the synthesised (Ce,La)CO3F was improved by loaded transition metal Mn. The best catalyst was found to be produced by impregnating (Ce,La)CO3F with 1 mol/L manganese nitrate solution, with a NOx conversion of 80% at 250˚C. The loading of Mn resulted in the appearance of numerous well-dispersed MnOx species on the catalyst surface, the dispersion of Ce7O12 species was also greatly enhanced, and the reduction in grain size indicated that Mnn+ entered into the (Ce,La)CO3F lattice causing lattice shrinkage. The number of acidic sites on the catalyst surface and the redox capacity were enhanced. The amount of Ce3+ in the catalyst was also enhanced by the introduction of Mnn+, but the proportion of adsorbed oxygen decreased, which indicated that the introduction of Mnn+ was detrimental to the increase in the proportion of adsorbed oxygen. The reaction mechanisms of the (Ce,La)CO3F and Mn/(Ce,La)CO3F catalysts were investigated by in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The results showed that catalysts followed the E-R and L-H mechanisms. When loaded with Mn, the main reactive species in the L-H mechanism were the (ad) species on the Brønsted acidic site and the O-Ce3+-O-NO, O-Mn3+-O-NO species. The main reactive species for the E-R mechanism were NH3/ (ad) species and NO. The (ad) species on the Brønsted acidic sites act as the main reactive NH3 (g) adsorbing species, bonded to the Ce4+ in the carrier (Ce,La)CO3F to participate in the acid cycle reaction. The introduction of Mnn+ increases the number of Brønsted acidic sites on the catalyst surface, and acts as an adsorption site for NO, to react with NO to generate more monodentate nitrate species, to participate in the redox cycle reactions. The above results indicated that Mnn+ and (Ce,La)CO3F have a good mutual promotion effect, which makes the loaded catalyst have excellent performance, which provides a theoretical basis for the high value utilization of bastnaesite.

    • 摘要: The objective of this research is to study the dynamic response characteristics of a three-beam system with intermediate elastic connections under a moving load/mass-spring.In this study,the finite Sine-Fourier transform was performed for the dynamic partial differential equations of a simply supported three-beam system(SSTBS)under a moving load and a moving mass-spring,respectively.The dynamic partial differential equations were transformed into dynamic ordinary differential equations relative to the time coordinates,and the equations were solved and the displacement Fourier amplitude spectral expressions were obtained.Finally,based on finite Sine-Fourier inverse transform,the expressions for dynamic response of SSTBS under the moving load and moving mass-spring were obtained.The proposed method,along with ANSYS,was used to calculate the dynamic response of the SSTBS under a moving load/mass-spring at different speeds.The results obtained herein were consistent with the ANSYS numerical calculation results,verifying the accuracy of the proposed method.The influence of the load/mass-spring’s moving speed on the dynamic deflections of SSTBS were analyzed.SSTBS has several critical speeds under a moving load/mass-spring.The vertical acceleration incurred by a change in the vertical speed of SSTBS due to the movement of mass-spring and the centrifugal acceleration produced by the movement of massspring on the vertical curve generated by SSTBS vibration could not be neglected.
