    • 摘要: Solution infiltration is a popular technique for the surface modification of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)cathodes.However,the synthesis of nanostructured SOFC cathodes by infiltration is a tedious process that often requires several infiltration and high temperature(≥500°C)calcination cycles.Moreover,fabricating large-area nanostructured cathodes via infiltration still requires serious attention.Here,we propose a facile and scalable urea assisted ultrasonic spray infiltration technique for nanofabrication of SOFC cathodes.It is demonstrated that by using urea as a precipitating agent,the calcination after each infiltration cycle can be omitted and the next infiltration can be performed just after a drying step(≤100°C).Finally,the precipitates can be converted into a desired catalyst phase in single calcination thus,a nanostructured cathode can be fabricated in a much faster manner.It is also shown that the low calcination temperature of the cathode(≤900°C)can produce highly durable SOFC performance even without employing a Ce_(0.9)Gd_(0.1)O_(2)(GDC)diffusion barrier layer which provides the ease of SOFC fabrication.While coupling with an ultrasonic spray technique,the urea assisted infiltration can be scaled up for any desired cathode area.La_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_(3) nanolayered cathode was fabricated and it was characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)techniques.SEM showed the formation of a nanolayer cathode just after 5 cycles of the urea assisted infiltration while the XRD and TEM confirmed the phase and stoichiometric uniformity of the 100 nm cathode nanolayer.The effectiveness of the newly developed technique was further verified by the stable operation of a GDC buffer layer free SOFC having an active cathode area of 25 cm^(2) during a 1200 h durability test.The research outcomes propose urea assisted ultrasonic spray infiltration as a facile,scalable,and commercially viable method for the fabrication of durable nanostructured SOFC cathodes.

    • 摘要: The purpose of this research is to demonstrate that a calibration curve can be obtained that can be used for any infiltration test, with the double ring method, as well as an equation that helps speed up data processing. The experimentation was carried out in eight points in Nicaragua, of which five were distributed in Managua and three in Rivas-Nandaime. These results can be used for purposes of other studies of interest. As a result, a calibration curve is obtained, and an expression equal to  is deduced, which will be the equation to determine the average infiltration of a field test occupying the double ring, for a total of 7 hours. And it is from the result that the texture of the soil can be determined by means of the indicator table. The basic methodology allowed analyzing the data since they are obtained, processed and analyzed, resulting in the calibration curve for infiltration tests. Finally, an equation was determined from the averages of the processed data, resulting in a correlation of 0.9976, above 0.5, which means it is very high and reliable.

    • 摘要: Mosul Dam is an earth fill dam located on the River Tigris northern part of Iraq. The capacity of its reservoir is 11.11 billion cubic meters which makes it the fourth biggest dam in the Middle East. From geological perspective, the dam is located on double plunging anticlines. The rocks of the site are mainly composed of highly jointed and karistified alternating beds of limestones, gysum and marls, since the impoundment of the reservoir seepage of water was recognized under the foundation of the dam. To stop or minimize the seepage, intensive grouting operations were conducted. Recent investigations and evaluation of the conditions of the dam indicate that it is in a critical situation. In this paper, consequences of the dam failure are discussed and possible solutions are given.

    • 摘要: The purpose of this study is to advance our current understanding of soil moisture storage in subsurface and water infiltration rate in loess soil. Therefore, a set of experiments was conducted on two soil columns filled with silty clay loam, with and without applying cavity technical method. For the soil column applied with loess cavity, the ponding infiltration was simulated using HYDRUS-2D/3D, version 2.x and the simulated results were verified by those of observation. The results show that 1) the loess cavity significantly decreased the infiltration rates when the flux permeated through it (varying from 0.358 to 0.208 cm·min-1) as compared with no cavity soil column (varying from 0.408 to 0.241 cm·min-1);2) similarly, the total cumulative infiltration and at the termination of wetting front advancement of soil column with cavity were 66 cm and 69 cm lower than that of no cavity soil column (76 and 78 cm), respectively. Consequently, the soil moisture at the subsurface and surrounding the loess cavity was effectively ameliorated;3) the model was capable of predicting water infiltration processes in the soil column with loess cavity, and the root mean square error of simulated water contents, wetting front advancements, cumulative infiltrations, and infiltration rates were from 0.22 to 3.63 cm3·cm-3, 1.6 to 3.63 cm, 3.44 cm, and 0.026 cm·min-1, respectively. Overall, the findings in this study indicate that loess cavity can effectively increase soil moisture storage at shallow surface and the HYDRUS-2D/3D model is capable of simulating and predicting scenarios to help achieve stable shallow soil surface with loess cavity.

    • 摘要: An existing Purdue-type rainfall simulator (RFS) was designed to be transported using a commercial flatbed trailer that was modified by cutting out a section of the wooden bed allowing the RFS to be positioned directly above the target area to measure soil erosion and water runoff. To allow water to pass through the trailer undisturbed, the axle of the trailer was removed and replaced with axle-free wheel hubs and springs. Additionally, a remote control mover rated for 2000 kg was incorporated in our design. The final result was a portable and mobile RFS that can be moved to fields using a trailer hitch and can be operated by two individuals. The cost of the hardware, not including the RFS, is $5300 (USD) and detailed design plans are available.

    • 摘要: The non-point source pollution posed great risks to the urban water environment which has aroused great concerns. Artificial rapid infiltration systems have been widely used in sewage treatment, which have great environmental and economic values. This study investigated the potential of utilizing artificial rapid infiltration systems on the reduction of urban non-point source pollution. The obtained results showed that the components and composition of artificial soils were vital to the operational performance. The mixture of natural soil, coarse sand and zeolite was ideal for the construction of artificial soils. The permeability coefficient of soils could be improved to 0.166 cm/min at the optimized ratio of 1:1:0.05 (natural soil, coarse sand and zeolite). Also, high removal efficiency for the typical pollutants in rain runoffs (i.e. COD, NH4+-N, TN and TP) could be simultaneous obtained which was above 74% in the artificial rapid infiltration systems. The results demonstrated the effectiveness on the reduction of urban non-point pollution by optimized artificial rapid infiltration system.

    • 摘要: This review will encompass definition, pathogenesis, renal clinical manifestations and treatment of immunoglobulin G4-related diseases( IgG4-RDs). IgG4-RD is a recently recognized clinical entity that often involves multiple organs and is characterized by high levels of serum immunoglobulins G4, dense infiltration of IgG4+ cells and storiform fibrosis. Cellular immunity, particularly T-cell mediated immunity, has been implicated in the pathogenesis of IgG4-RDs. The most frequent renal manifestations of IgG4-RD are IgG4-related tubulointerstitial nephritis, membranous glomerulopathy and obstructive nephropathy secondary to urinary tract obstruction due to IgG4-related retroperitoneal fibrosis. IgG4-RD diagnosis should be based on specific histopathological findings, confirmed by tissue immunostaining, typical radiological findings and an appropriate clinical context. The first line treatment is the steroids with two warnings: Steroid resistance and relapse after discontinuation. In the case of steroid resistance, B cell depleting agents as rituximab represent the secondline treatment. In the case of relapse after discontinuation, steroid treatment may be associated with steroid sparing agents. Since the disease has been only recently identified, more prospective, long-term studies are needed to an improved understanding and a more correct and safe treatment.
