At present,methods for treating tertiary oil recovery wastewater via electro-coagulation are still in their early stage of development.In this study,a device for electro-coagulation wastewater treatment was built and tested in an oil field.The effects that the initial pH value,electrode type,and connection mode have on the coagulation and separation effect were assessed by measuring the mass fraction and turbidity of oil.The results have shown that when the electro-coagulation method is used,the effectiveness of the treatment can be significantly increased in neutral pH conditions(pH=7),in acidic conditions,and in alkaline conditions.Compared to an Al electrode,the floc that is produced by an Fe electrode is smaller;thus,it does not easily coagulate and settle in a short time.Using the oil removal rate,turbidity removal rate and energy consumption as a basis to assess the performances,the results have demonstrated that the combined aluminum alloy iron composite electrode should be used as electrolytic electrode.

The development of low-bandgap nonfullerene acceptors and wide-bandgap polymer donors speeds up the advance of organic solar cells(OSCs)[1-17]. Wide-bandgap copolymers based on fused-ring acceptor units are ideal donor materials due to their low-lying HOMO levels, high hole mobilities and complementary light absorption to nonfullerene acceptors[18-25]. Currently, high-performance donors with 18%power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) belong to this type.

Habitual tea consumption can reduce the risk of ASCVD morbidity and mortality and all-cause mortality in China,and long-term adherence to this habit can provide greater protection.Pu-erh tea is one of the representatives of post-fermented teas,and the polymers in Pu-erh tea have anti-cancer and anti-hyperlipidemic activities,but their chemical composition is still unknown.In this study,the chemical composition of Pu-erh tea was investigated in detail and eight(1–8)known compounds were isolated.The polymers in Pu-erh tea were also degraded by thiol degradation,and the fragments of quercetin and(–)-epicatechin-3-O-gallate were found in the thiol degradation products of Pu-erh tea polymers by UPLC observation and separation and purification.This is the first time that this fragment was obtained in Pu-erh tea polymer.

A new device is designed to promote the mixing of high-pressure water jets and powders in typical industrial applications.The water and powder mixing devices traditionally used on offshore platforms are detrimentally affected by the geometrical configuration of the water nozzle and the powder spraying pipe,which are parallel,resulting in small intersecting volumes of liquid and powder.By allowing the related jets to intersect,in the present work the optimal horizontal distance,vertical distance and intersection angle are determined through a parametric investigation.It is also shown that such values change if the number of water layers is increased from one to two.In such a case,the water and powder intersection volume can be greatly increased because the trajectory of the dry powder particles becomes more chaotic.

Core decompression(CD)with the elimination of osteonecrotic bone is the most common strategy for treating early-stage nontraumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head(ONFH).Adjuvant treatments are widely used in combination with CD as suitable methods of therapy.Existing augmentations have to be fabricated in advance.Here,we report a novel injectable glycerin-modified polycaprolactone(GPCL)that can adapt to the shape of the CD cavity.GPCL shows great flowability at 52.6°C.After solidification,its compressive modulus was 120 kPa at body temperature(37°C).This excellent characteristic enables the polymer to provide mechanical support in vivo.In addition,GPCL acts as a carrier of the therapeutic agent zoledronic acid(ZA),demonstrating sustained release into the CD region.ZA-loaded GPCL was injected into ONFH lesions to treat early-stage nontraumatic cases.Compared to that in the CD group,CD+ZA-loaded GPCL injection preserved bone density and increased the collagen level in the femoral head.At the interface between the GPCL and CD tunnel wall,osteogenesis was significantly promoted.In addition,morphological evaluations revealed that the femoral heads in the CD+ZA-GPCL group exhibited improved pressure resistance.These results suggest a strategy effective to preserve the bone density of the femoral head,thus decreasing the possibility of femoral head collapse.This novel injectable polymer has,therefore,considerable potential in clinical applications.

Acrylic acid(AA)is an important and widely used industrial chemical,but its high toxicity renders its use incompatible with the concept of green development.By leveraging its terminal carboxyl group and unsaturated bond,we designed and explored a new strategy to increase the greenness of AA via its eutectic melting using a quaternary ammonium salt(choline chloride)to form a deep eutectic solvent(DES),followed by
polymerisation of the DES to form a
polymer(poly(DES)).The greenness of AA,DES,and poly(DES)was evaluated via an in vitro test using MGC80-3 cells and an in vivo test using Kunming mice.The toxicity improved from Grade 2(moderately toxic)for AA to Grade 1(slightly toxic)for DESs and Grade 0(non-toxic)for poly(DES)in the in vitro test.Moreover,the poly(DES)s showed a lower toxicity in mice than the DESs in the in vivo test.Thus,greenness enhancement was successfully achieved,with the greenness following the order AA

In order to obtain a multifunctional oilfield agent with both corrosion inhibition and oil displacement functions,a polymer with benzene ring structures is synthesized based on polyacrylamide(PAM)and used as inhibitor for the first time.Methods including electrochemistry,weight loss and theoretical calculations are used to study the inhibition effect for P110 steel in 1.0 M HCl.The experimental results show that the modified polymer poly-(Z)-N-benzylidenepropionamide(PBAM)has excellent inhibition effects,and the maximum efficiency can reach 90.62%in impedance spectroscopy tests.The benzene ring structure added in the modified polymer providesπelectrons for the adsorption of inhibitor on metal surface,strengthens the adsorption,and thus brings a better corrosion inhibition effect.In addition to the corrosion inhibition performance,the viscosity-increasing effect of PBAM is evaluated.The results show that the addition of benzene ring not only enhances the corrosion inhibition effect,but also brings temperature resistance to the polymer.However,the salt tolerance of the polymer is affected,the synthesized PBAM which viscosity can above 500 m Pa s at 140°C is suitable for high temperature and low salinity environment.The modified polyacrylamide has satisfactory corrosion inhibition and oil displacement performance,which provides a new idea for the development of oilfield chemistry.

Polymer semiconductors have aroused interests from both academic and industry due to their wide applications in electronic devices,such as organic thin-film transistors(OT-FTs)[1],polymer solar cells(PSCs)[2−6],organic thermoelectrics(OTEs)[7−11],and perovskite solar cells(PVSCs)[12−14].To date,great efforts have been devoted to developing p-type poly-mer semiconductors,while the development of n-type poly-mers lags far behind.In fact,n-type polymers are essential for organic electronic devices.
