Various embodiments may provide an electronic device for progressive lossless summarization of a large-scale graph and an operation method therefor. The electronic device and the operation method therefor according to various embodiments may be configured to: store a summary graph to be summarized from the large-scale graph, and correction information indicating the difference between the large-scale graph and the summary graph; detect a change edge in the large-scale graph; detect change nodes connected by means of the change edge, on the basis of the change edge; and update the summary graph and the correction information, on the basis of each of the change nodes.
