A data reading device comprising a hanging tag (100) and a reading device (200) is provided. The hang tag (100) has a hang tag main body (10) and a connector having an RFID component (30), the connector passing through the hang tag main body (10), and two opposite ends with a first extension portion (22) and a second extension portion (24) adjoin the surfaces of the hang tag main body (10). The reading device (200) has a housing (40), a reading head (50) and a circuit board (60). The housing (40) has a receiving recess (45) having a recess shape conforming to at least part of the outer shape of the hang tag main body (10), the first extension portion (22) and the second extension portion (24). The reading head (50) and the circuit board (60) are inserted into the housing (40) and electrically connected. When the hanging tag (100), whose outer shape partially corresponds to the recess shape of the receiving recess (45), is inserted into the receiving recess (45), the RFID component (30) accurately matches the reading head (50) to be quickly connected .
