The disclosed DIY smart home system based on the Internet of Things includes: an Internet communication unit connected to the Internet through wired communication and receiving a control command from a user by accessing an AP constituting a LAN (Local Area Network); and a device controller for controlling the operation of a home appliance that does not have an Internet of Things function based on the control command.
