The remote method for allocating forest areas with a predominance of dry or green deciduous or green coniferous trees in summer includes remote registration of the brightness fields of forest vegetation from an aircraft carrier. In contrast to the known methods for aerospace forest monitoring, laser sensing from an aircraft carrier is used at three wavelengths safe for vision, λ1, λ2, λ, selected according to experimental data in the UV and near-IR spectral ranges. According to the measurement data, two information indices and are formed and , equal to the ratio of the recorded intensities I(λi) and I(λj) at the wavelengths λi and λj. Areas with a predominance of dry or green deciduous or green coniferous trees are judged by the following ratios: R1(λ2, λ3) ≥R1thr(λ2, λ3) for green deciduous and coniferous trees; R1(λ2, λ3)
