Disclosed in the present invention is a 5G-oriented smart optical access network local end cloud system based on a building block architecture, comprising: three resource pools, namely a virtual OLT line terminal pool, a virtual baseband processing unit vBBU pool, and a server pool carrying a virtual network function vNF, an OpenFlow virtual switch and a client layer proxy thereof, and a smart access cloud system software definition controller and a network function virtualisation orchestration controller; the OpenFlow virtual switch connects the three resource pools together for interconnection and intercommunication. The core function of the present invention is to implement a future smart access cloud system that integrates optical fibre, wireless, and edge data centres, and uses a building block architecture to implement an innovative upgrade of a traditional optical access network local end station, having the characteristics of open cloud development, module combination, flexible deployment, and simplified operation and maintenance.
