Improvements to reduce effectively a load that affects an operator as a result of work shall be applied automatically. A work assistant indicator has the following characteristics: a workload assessment unit, an improvement memory, a simulation unit and an improvement measurement unit. The workload assessment unit assesses a workload level indicating the degree of stress on an operator as a result of the work, from operator information and production plant information. The operator information is an information,which refers to the operator carrying out the work in cooperation with a production facility. Production plant information is information relating to the production plant. The improvement measures memory stores improvement measures to improve the level of workload. The simulation unit performs a simulation to estimate an estimated improvement effect indicating the degree of improvement in the level of workload when the improvement measures are applied. The Improvement Measures Unit determines application improvement measures,to be applied to at least one of the operators and the production plant, from the improvement measures, on the basis of the estimated improvement effect.
