A valve for a urostomy device comprising a body 12 formed from a first material and having an integrally formed guide channel 24 which is formed from a second material. The second material is more rigid than the first material. The valve also comprise an inlet 14 and 16 outlet connected by a flow path and a blocking member 18. The blocking member is received within the guide channel and generally linearly moveable between a closed and open position. In the closed position the blocking member blocks the inlet such that liquid cannot flow through the flow path of the outlet and in the open position the inlet is open, such that liquid is permitted to flow through the flow path of the outlet. The guide channel is configured to prevent or inhibit movement of the blocking member in any direction other than generally linearly as it moves form its closed to open position.
