[Problem] The present invention relates to ultrafine carbon fiber yarn and a method for producing the same. [Solution] (1) Production of desired composite yarn from opened carbon fibers by opening, slitting, twisting, and combining with a composite yarn, and (2) production of composite yarn by performing the process of laminating a film (a film of a composite material) simultaneously with the process of opening opened carbon fibers, performing slitting and twisting, and performing heat treatment for removing stress. The yarns of the present invention have tensile strength improved by 10% or more compared with base yarn of raw yarn and can be used for a wide range of applications. (Selected drawing) FIG. 1
