The invention relates to a potentiometric oxygen probe (10), for measuring the oxygen concentration of a liquid metal. The invention essentially consists in arranging an insert (4) which acts as an intermediate piece between the probe body (1) and the electrolyte (2), the material of the insert being judiciously chosen in relation to that metallic to the both of the probe body and the ceramic one of the electrolyte to make it possible to reverse the nature of the brazing filler metal compared to what is achieved in potentiometric oxygen probes according to the state of the art.
