The invention concerns an arrangement to control the fire-retardation of a wind turbine (1)having the following characteristics: a signalling device set up to give control signals corresponding to optical signals; a switching device connected to the signalling device and equipped to switch the signalling device for transmitting the optical signals accordingly to the control signals; and a control, having a first control system with a secondary radar system; receive, via the first antenna device, transponder signals from flying objects as the first receiving signals from an antenna device and a first receiving device assigned and equipped to the first antenna device;and a second control system, different from the first control system, with a primary radar and/or radio receiver system; a second antenna array and a second receiving device associated with and equipped with the second antenna array to receive primary radar and/or radio signals from the flight objects via the second antenna array as a second receiving signal. The control shall be set up, in a normal mode, if at least the first reception signals are received, to provide the control signals in accordance with at least the first reception signals and to transmit them to the switching device;and in a mode of return operation, if the second reception signals are not received but the first reception signals are received, provide the control signals depending on the second reception signals and give them to the switching device. In addition, a wind turbine (1) and a procedure for controlling the fire-retardant effect of a wind turbine (1) are created.
