A method and system are provided for matching a publisher requesting proofreading/ proofreading of a publication and a plurality of proofreading/ proofreading personnel. The method includes: a database building step of constructing a database of human resources information including at least one of a professional field, career, service cost, and work availability of proofreading / proofreading personnel; a request information registration step in which the publisher registers request information including at least one of a desired proofing/editing service type, field, quantity, request deadline, and expected fee together with a publication to be requested for proofreading/editing; a publication division step of dividing the publication into at least one request object in consideration of the request information; a manpower matching step of retrieving manpower for proofing/editing a publication from a database in consideration of manpower information and the request information for each request object and providing the manpower to the publisher; and providing matched manpower to the publisher. According to the present invention, it is possible to automatically match publishers with several proofreading/ proofreading personnel who can quickly and accurately perform proofreading/editing of publications.
