The present disclosure relates to the field of smart home, and specifically relates to an indoor monitoring method, device, and system, a storage medium, and a camera device. The method comprises: controlling the camera device to capture indoor monitoring images at multiple continuous time points; identifying a first monitoring image at a previous time point and a second monitoring image at a current time point to obtain an article and positions of the article respectively corresponding to the first monitoring image and the second monitoring image; according to the position of the article in the first monitoring image and the position of the article in the second monitoring image, determining whether the position of the article is changed; and generating article record information of the article when it is determined that the position of the article is changed, the article record information representing an indoor moving condition of the article. Article record information facilitates a user recording related information on an article, so as to ensure that the user can find the corresponding article quickly.
